Jason & Nicole, the friendly faces behind the scenes (Our wedding day, 20/2/2021)

About Us

Jason & Nicole Carlton are the Husband & Wife duo behind Sticky Flanges. Whether it’s on the screen or over the phone, you will be speaking to one of us!

It all began with a brain fart I had while travelling around NZ visiting customers at a previous job. I had my own project car and had plenty of time to think on the topic. Being my first real project, I couldn’t get over the price of simple parts such as flanges and gaskets. $20.00 for a two bolt flange. And you need at least two of them and a gasket? You have got to be kidding me! So I thought to myself, surely there is another way, what if I could make them? And without knowing it, this was the moment I created Sticky Flanges. It was my “Side Hustle” for the next 10 years as I worked full time, only having time to do this in the evenings. But as time went on I created and sourced more products, our catalogue continued to grow. And now 10 years down the track, I work here full time and Nicole part time, we have over 650 products and have introduced an inhouse fabrication service!

“My goal has always been to offer quality to the market at an affordable price”.

Nicole & Jason Carlton

Nicole & I met in 2016, shortly after a serious relationship started (but not before Nicole made me jump through hoops of course!). We have plenty of common interests and love spending time together. We both have a passion for the automotive scene, particularly classic vehicles. Being members of the Sulphur City Rod & Custom Club with our own vehicle. And attend many of the events yearly.

We travelled a bit, USA for Drag week in 2017, not grown men dressing up in drag and running by the way, more like 1000+ horsepower vehicles travelling 1000miles around the states! Australia for the Winter Drags at Willowbank in 2018. We got engaged in October 2019 and then shot off to the UK to visit her relatives, Covid happened just before we made our way back here to NZ. Which made for an interesting year ahead, where did 2020 go?… The lockdown lifted the day before our wedding in February 2021 and this is when life really took on a new form. Less than a year down the track we welcomed our beautiful daughter, Isabella Maree. We are now a team of 3!
